About us

We are just a group of friends passionate about comics and all forms of art, who came together to show Portuguese-speaking audiences the genius of the character God-Man.

We discovered the "superhero with omnipotent powers" while browsing the internet a few years ago, and quickly became fans of the moral and philosophical depth hidden within the humor of the series. Among our findings and readings, we came across a fantastic, older project lovingly created by fans: the "The God-Man Fan Page", which gathers much of the original God-Man adventures in English.

Inspired by this collection, we felt the desire to do something similar, but in Portuguese, since both God-Man and the work of Ruben Bolling are practically unknown to Lusophone audiences. That’s how this site was born: a homage, a tribute, a true veneration to the great God-Man!

It is important to note that we have tried to produce the best possible translations of all comics, balancing fidelity to the original message, adaptation to the cultural and linguistic context of the target language, and the space limitations of speech balloons relative to the new text. Our goal is to respect the story as much as possible and preserve the humor, message, and rhythm. We make a point of, in each volume, referencing a direct link to the original version of the same work, so that you, the reader, can compare, appreciate, and check the strip in its original language, if you wish.

This project is independently maintained and non-profit. If you enjoy the idea of having God-Man available in Portuguese and would like to help keep this site online, please consider contributing to our crowdfunding. The funds raised will be used for domain costs, technical maintenance, project improvements, and possibly to support other translators and independent artists who make the internet a more creative and diverse place.

Don’t forget to visit and, if possible, directly support the work of Ruben Bolling. If you enjoyed God-Man, honor the original author — if you can, follow, share, and support his work. Visit his site at https://www.tomthedancingbug.com.
